The infection of highly pathogenic Bird Flu that spreads among livestock is rapidly expanding within the country. Since the beginning of the year, reports have been coming in at a pace that exceeds the record-breaking 2022 season, leading to increased vigilance.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, 39 cases of Bird Flu infections have been confirmed across 14 prefectures this season (as of January 19). A total of 6.93 million birds have already been culled.
