The selection process for the utilization of the site of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, to be held from April to October this year, is underway. Osaka Prefecture and the city have announced two candidates for resort development and circuit arena. A basic plan is expected to be presented by the end of March.

On the artificial island of Yumeshima in Osaka Bay where the expo will be held, the northern area is planned for the opening of an IR (Integrated Resort, including casinos), while about 50 hectares of land in the southern area have not yet been decided for development.
