Since Trump's election, he has repeatedly demonstrated his support for Cryptos: not only has he added several "crypto supporters" to key economic positions in the next administration, but he has also vowed to turn the USA into the "Global Cryptocurrency Capital," prompting numerous crypto companies to show their support.
According to Decrypt's report, Trump's inauguration has already attracted millions of dollars in donations from the Cryptos Industry, including Ripple, $Robinhood (HOOD.US)$ 、 $Coinbase (COIN.US)$ , Circle and others.
Currently, the crypto company Ripple, which is embroiled in a high-profile lawsuit with the USA Securities and Exchange Commission, donated XRP tokens worth 5 million USD to Trump's inauguration. XRP is the native currency of the Ripple network and can circulate throughout the Ripple network.
In recent years, the popular trading app Robinhood, which has actively expanded its cryptos products, donated 2 million USD to Trump's inauguration committee. Coinbase, the largest registered crypto exchange in the USA, donated 1 million USD to the inauguration fund. Kara Calvert, Vice President of US Policy at Coinbase, stated, "Coinbase is committed to working with both sides of the government and Congress to create clear regulations for cryptos."
Meanwhile, the crypto exchange Kraken, headquartered in San Francisco, donated 1 million USD for the inauguration ceremony. According to a decoding site, founder Jesse Powell had been investigated by the FBI over hacking allegations, and he personally donated 0.845 million USD in cryptos to Trump's campaign.
The issuer of the USDC stablecoin, Circle, provided 1 million USD worth of USDC stablecoins to Trump's inauguration fund.
Additionally, the USA crypto exchange Kraken donated 1 million USD to Trump's inauguration fund; the decentralized finance platform Ondo finance also offered 1 million USD.
According to data from the Washington D.C.-based oversight group Public Citizen, the Crypto Industry has provided over $0.119 billion in funding for Trump's historic re-election campaign.
Apart from the Crypto Industry, non-Crypto companies in Silicon Valley have also invested heavily in Trump's inauguration. Recently, Google and Meta announced their respective donations of $1 million; Microsoft also plans to donate $1 million.
