McDonald's Singapore is adding a unique twist to the Chinese New Year celebrations with a limited-edition My Melody-themed mahjong set. The set will be available for S$228, available for redemption using 3,888 points from the McDonald's MyM Rewards account.

The mahjong set will be available from Jan 13, 2025, at 3pm for MyM Rewards members. The points, accumulated through McDonald's orders, can be redeemed for the set. From Jan 20 to 23, the mahjong set can be picked up at the McDonald's Suntec City outlet between 3 pm and 9 pm.

The set stands out with its Sanrio design, starting with a McDonald's-red case featuring the golden arches logo, My Melody, and a playful takeaway paper bag design. Inside, the tiles reflect a unique Singaporean-style of mahjong, including animal tiles like a friendly Sanrio mouse, a happy caterpillar, and My Melody holding McDonald's favourites such as burgers and hashbrowns.

For fans of McDonald's and Sanrio, this set is a must-have. The tiles, housed in four velvet trays, include the McDonald's garlic chilli-dipped fries replacing the traditional bamboo suit, while the circle suit features fast food items like burgers and lettuce. Additionally, the set comes with pink dice adorned with a yellow Hello Kitty bow.

McDonald's will also donate sets to local community events, including Mahjong Together, a youth volunteer initiative where volunteers play mahjong with senior citizens.

Point redemption for the McDonald's My Melody Mahjong set begins Jan13, 3pm, with in-person purchases available at the Suntec City outlet from Jan 20 to 23, 3pm to 9pm.
