FX168 Financial News Agency (Asia-Pacific) reported that the USA Bloomberg News reported on Thursday (January 9) local time that the elected President Trump plans to issue a series of executive orders within a few hours following his inauguration on January 20, addressing issues such as immigration, Energy, federal employees, and regulatory reform. This is part of his comprehensive effort to quickly implement his policy agenda after taking office. In addition, The Washington Post reported that Republican senators stated that Trump is preparing nearly 100 executive orders.

Bloomberg reported that the executive orders Trump plans to issue include actions to tighten transit restrictions; authorizing the federal government to complete the unfinished border wall; establishing mechanisms for large-scale deportations; and depriving sanctuary cities of federal resources until they stop providing protection to undocumented immigrants.

Informed sources described the upcoming orders, requesting anonymity to reveal details before the plans are announced.

Trump transition team spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated in a release: "The American people can expect President Trump to use his executive power on day one to fulfill the promises he made to them during the campaign."

Republican Senator Markwayne Mullin from Oklahoma stated on Thursday during an interview with Fox News that Trump relayed plans to take action on issues such as immigration and Energy during a meeting with Republican senators in Washington on Wednesday night.

The Washington Post reported that Trump also urged Senate Republicans to remain united during the confirmation process of his cabinet nominees and to discuss how to implement the legislative agenda he intends to push forward as soon as he takes office.
