Disney (DIS.US) stated that its streaming media platform is expected to have around 0.157 billion global monthly active users on its ad-supported tier, with 0.112 billion users in the USA.
The company stated that its advertising department has begun defining a globally consistent method and approach to estimate the number of ad-supported users. Disney CEO Bob Iger has expressed that the company is committed to guiding its customers towards its ad-supported category, and since the launch of the ad-supported Disney+ at the end of 2022, the company has raised prices for the ad-free options.
