The new region will enable organizations to run their applications locally and store data, thereby reducing latency and improving service delivery to end users.

Active customers in Thailand and Southeast Asia include the Digital Government Development Agency, Metro Systems, NTT DATA, the Stock Exchange of Thailand, and others.

Prasad Kalyanaraman, Vice President of AWS Infrastructure Services, stated: "This new AWS region in Thailand will help customers across all industries deploy advanced applications that leverage a wide range of AWS technologies, providing core Cloud Computing capabilities such as computing, storage, analytics, and networking, as well as services that enable fast growth, such as AI and machine learning."

He added, "With today's launch, AWS is proud to support Thailand's digital transformation and help accelerate its role as an AI regional hub."
