Morningstar Analyst Phelix Lee noted that NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang announced at CES 2025 the launch of the latest AI supercomputer Project DIGITS this May, starting at a price of $3,000, which will be equipped with the GB10 Grace Blackwell super chip developed in collaboration with MediaTek, and it is believed to have a bullish effect on the latter. Earlier reports indicated that MediaTek is expanding its partnership with NVIDIA, and the market is expected to hold a more optimistic view towards MediaTek's development in the over 0.2 billion unit PC market.
However, considering the product's price and its primary focus on developers, Morningstar believes it is still too early to estimate the profit contribution from the new product for MediaTek, and advises investors to pay attention to whether MediaTek will launch consumer-facing products in the next one to two years.
