After self-driving technology company Aurora Innovation (AUR.US) announced a partnership with NVIDIA (NVDA.US) and the Continental group, Aurora's stock price surged nearly 40% on Tuesday.
According to the agreement, the three companies will collaborate to use NVIDIA's technology to mass-produce the next-generation Drive Thor system chip for self-driving trucks, which will be integrated into Aurora's driver, with mass production of the SAE L4 self-driving system developed by Continental group planned to start in 2027.
