On the 26th, Laboro.AI <5586> announced that it provided AI development support to Obayashi Corporation <1802>, and that the "Structural Vibration Control System" developed in collaboration with Obayashi Corporation has been patented.
The "Structural Vibration Control System" is one that utilizes AI in active vibration control technology (AMD: Active Mass Damper) to observe the vibration of structures and optimally operate a mass damper to effectively suppress it.
Furthermore, this system utilizes reinforcement learning, allowing the AI to repeatedly trial and error to determine optimal actions, thus enabling it to suppress vibrations in a shorter time. In addition to finding optimal control laws for complex vibration control, it also allows for flexible adaptation to changing environments, such as those involving structural vibrations, achieving higher effectiveness in vibration control than conventional control systems.
