HSBC has appointed Lisa McGeough as the CEO and President of its Business in the USA, making her the first female CEO to lead the bank's operations in the region in over a decade.
McGeough's appointment takes effect on January 1 and she will be responsible for the bank's growth in the USA, including expanding its corporate and institutional banking business in North America.
