The latest S&P Global Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) shows that growth in Brazil's private sector slowed further in December as growth in factory production and services activity slowed further. THE COMPOSITE PMI OUTPUT INDEX FELL TO 51.5 FROM 53.5 IN NOVEMBER, INDICATING A SLIGHT SLOWDOWN IN EXPANSION, TO BE THE WEAKEST IN 2024.

The Services Business Activity Index fell from 53.6 in November to 51.6 in December, showing the weakest pace of industry expansion in 2024.
