Boeing (BA.US) and the USA prosecutors both stated that they are working to finalize a new agreement to resolve the two criminal cases arising from the crashes of the Boeing 737 Max.

A document updated on Friday shows that the USA Department of Justice is negotiating a new plea agreement with Boeing, which includes revisions to the proposed plea agreement to address the reasons the court previously rejected it, namely the inappropriate requirement to consider racial factors when hiring independent monitors.

Following the crashes of Lion Air Flight 610 in October 2018 and Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 in March 2019, both incidents pointed to defects in the Boeing aircraft's flight Control System.
