Geely Holding and Baidu-SW (09888.HK) affiliated Geometry Automobiles are facing operational difficulties, with Geometry car owners from all over the country uniting to protect their rights and issuing an open letter. The letter states that since December 12 of last year, key spare parts have been out of stock, causing vehicle repairs to come to a standstill, seriously affecting the daily travel of some car owners and increasing additional transportation costs. Additionally, there are issues with the stability of the onboard system, with frequent occurrences of system crashes, navigation failures, and abnormal Battery management, which could lead to sudden power outages or fires, posing a serious safety threat to driving.
Geometry car owners have jointly requested that the company, Geely, and Baidu immediately restore the Geometry after-sales system and fully repair the software. They demand that all three parties establish a long-term communication mechanism, set up a special working group, regularly communicate with car owner representatives, respond promptly, and ensure transparency of information to effectively safeguard the legal rights and interests of car owners. The car owners also urge the company to clarify the recovery timeline and responsibilities, and strictly fulfill the contract; if contractual obligations are not met on time, the company should clearly outline the compensation details for the car owners.
