Looking only at pure electric models, BYD sold 1.765 million pure electric new energy vehicles in 2024, leading the world. Coupled with nearly 2.5 million units sold from plug-in hybrid models, it's highly likely that BYD will retain its title as the world's top seller of new energy vehicles in 2024.
Moreover, "going overseas" has now become an important growth driver for BYD's sales. According to production and sales report data, in 2024, BYD sold 0.4172 million new energy vehicles overseas, accounting for 9.77% of the company's total annual sales, nearly one-tenth, which is a growth of 71.86% compared to the overseas sales of 0.2428 million vehicles in 2023.
Yuan Shuai, Deputy Secretary-General of the Beijing Centergate Technologies Internet of Things Industry Alliance, stated that the New energy Fund is an important direction for the Global auto industry transformation and upgrade, and also an important way to achieve sustainable development.
