On the evening of January 1st, BYD released its production and sales report for December 2024. The data shows that in December 2024, the company sold 0.5148 million new energy vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 50.95%, leading the market in monthly sales, and surpassing 0.5 million vehicles for the third consecutive month. In 2024, BYD's total sales of new energy vehicles reached 4.2721 million, a year-on-year increase of 41.26%.

It is worth mentioning that, according to the annual sales report released by BYD, the company's overall sales this year exceeded SAIC Group for the first time. According to SAIC Group's official production and sales report, the total sales for the year were 4.013 million vehicles. Just comparing the figures from both companies' production and sales reports, BYD's sales in 2024 surpassed SAIC Group by 0.2591 million vehicles. Looking at other emerging auto brands, in December 2024, Ideal Autos delivered 58,500 new vehicles, a historic high, with a year-on-year growth of 16.2%. As of December 31, 2024, Ideal Autos delivered a total of 500,508 vehicles in 2024, with a cumulative delivery history of 1,133,872 vehicles.

In December, Xiaopeng Autos delivered a total of 36,695 new vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 82% and a month-on-month increase of 19%, achieving a record high in single-month deliveries for four consecutive months.

In December, LEAPMOTOR's deliveries reached 42,517 units, a year-on-year growth of 128%, breaking the 40,000-unit delivery mark for two consecutive months and setting a new record for monthly deliveries for seven consecutive months; throughout 2024, LEAPMOTOR's total deliveries approached 300,000 units, over 100% year-on-year growth, exceeding the sales target for 2024.

In December 2024, NIO (09866) delivered 31,138 new cars, breaking through 30,000 units in a single month, with a month-on-month growth of 51.3% and a year-on-year growth of 72.9%. Additionally, ZEEKR (ZK.US) delivered 27,190 new cars in December, setting a new historic high with a year-on-year growth of 102%.
