The Development Bureau announced that starting today (December 31), a market intention survey will be launched for a period of three months, inviting the market to submit letters of intent for the three "area development" pilot projects in the Northern Metropolis. The goal is to successively invite tenders for these three area development pilot projects from the second half of next year until 2026, with an introductory meeting for the invitation of letters of intent scheduled for January 16 next year.
The bureau stated that adopting the "area development" model in the Northern Metropolis is a new attempt, so the government hopes to collect opinions and suggestions from the market to finalize the details and terms for future public tenders. The invitation document for the letters of intent outlines specific development requirements for each pilot's "baseline scenarios," making it easier for interested enterprises to provide feedback. In addition, the government welcomes innovative and feasible suggestions from the market to effectively utilize the area development model for more in-depth and substantive participation in the Northern Metropolis’s industrial development.
The three area development pilot projects are located in the Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area, Fanling North New Development Area, and the San Tin Technology City, covering approximately 12.5, 15.9, and 18.6 hectares respectively.
