Glory Group, December 30 | Citigroup Analysts suggested in a report to clients on Monday that investors seize the opportunity from the potential pullback of the S&P 500 Index in early 2025, citing the solid fundamentals of the U.S. stock market and the expectation for long-term growth drivers to lead S&P 500 constituent companies to achieve double-digit earnings growth again. Citigroup pointed out that valuations and implied growth expectations set high standards for next year's fundamentals and emphasized their optimistic outlook on the prospects of S&P 500 constituent companies in a non-cyclical macro environment. Citigroup currently sets a target point for the S&P 500 Index at 6,500 points by the end of 2025, expecting the index's EPS to reach $270. However, Citigroup also acknowledges some risks, including the Federal Reserve's reduction of monetary easing and speculative asset bubbles.
