According to the Zhito Finance APP, Nomura has released a research report stating that the telecommunications Industry revenue in mainland China remained stable in November 2024. In the first 11 months, the telecommunications Industry revenue increased by 2.6% year-on-year, while in November alone, it increased by 2.3% year-on-year. The revenue for the first 11 months increased by 2.6% to 1,594.7 billion yuan (the same below). I-CABLE COMM service revenue increased by 5% year-on-year to 252 billion yuan, while data traffic service revenue decreased by 1.3% year-on-year to 582.4 billion yuan.
The report stated that in the first 11 months of this year, revenue from emerging businesses in the mainland telecommunications sector increased by 7.9% year-on-year to 395.2 billion yuan, a slowdown compared to the 8.9% growth at the end of October. According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, revenue from emerging businesses accounted for 24.8% of the telecommunications industry's revenue, with major sub-industries including Cloud Computing, Big Data, and Internet of Things, with year-on-year revenue growth of 6.8%, 60.7%, and 13.6%, respectively. Additionally, as of November 2024, the net increase of 5G network users was 7 million, bringing the total number of 5G users to 1.002 billion, with a penetration rate rising to 56%.
