On the morning of December 24, Hua Xia Bank's credit card center announced on its official WeChat account that in order to allow cardholders to better experience the value-added services of Hua Xia Bank's credit cards and to ensure their use, starting from January 1, 2025, the usage rules for value-added services will be adjusted to be available only to primary cardholders. Financial news agency reporters noted that recently China Construction Bank and MINSHENG BANK have also issued announcements stating that some credit card benefits will be officially reduced.
According to the announcement from Hua Xia Bank, this adjustment involves seven categories of value-added services, impacting more than ten types of credit card products.
Hua Xia Bank stated that for those who illegally and maliciously obtain value-added services through fraudulent means, once discovered, the Hua Xia Bank credit card center will take measures including restricting login, canceling value-added services, limiting card use, and will reserve the right to pursue legal action. For cardholders who violate the use of value-added services, the Hua Xia Bank credit card center retains the right to pursue.
Financial news agency reporters noted that it is not only Hua Xia Bank that is making adjustments to next year's credit card benefits before the end of the year. Industry insiders indicate that this move is mainly based on cost reduction considerations.
On November 13, China Construction Bank announced the rights and activities of its premium credit cards for 2025. Among them, several benefits have been adjusted. Starting from January 1, 2025, some cards will no longer enjoy designated domestic airport VIP lounge services from China Construction Bank but can continue to use the Longteng airport VIP lounge service (which can be used both domestically and internationally). Additionally, some cards will no longer enjoy designated domestic airport VIP lounge services starting from January 1, 2025.
On December 16, MINSHENG BANK announced on its official website that in the first quarter of next year, it plans to adjust certain rules regarding extraordinary privileges for retail customers, with several services like airport High-speed Rail pick-up and drop-off having their points upgraded.
