On December 24, according to Reuters, the Starbucks employees' union announced that the strike will expand to more than 300 stores in the USA on Tuesday, with over 5,000 workers expected to participate. This five-day strike is set to conclude later on Christmas Eve. The union added that the Christmas Eve strike is expected to be the largest in history. The Starbucks Workers United, representing employees from 525 stores nationwide, stated that over 60 stores in 12 major cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Boston, and Seattle, had ceased operations as of Monday. Negotiations between Starbucks and the union have stalled, with issues concerning wages, staffing, and scheduling remaining unresolved, leading to the strike.
