By providing a common logistics data conversion service, support for data standardization is offered.
The results of a joint logistics proof-of-concept conducted by the "Physical Internet Realization Conference" led by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, in which the company participated as an observer, were announced today. The 'Chemicals Working Group' within this conference aims to realize the physical internet from September to December 2024 in the Kanto and Tokai regions. The company provided a common data platform using its offering 'Fujitsu Unified Logistics' and facilitated the integration of various data such as loading rates and CO2 emissions related to the logistics operations of participating companies in the 'Chemicals Working Group.' 'Fujitsu Unified Logistics' complies with the 'Logistics Information Standard Guidelines' established under the Cabinet Office's 'Strategic Innovation Creation Program (SIP) Phase II Smart Logistics Services' project.
To realize the physical internet, standardization of logistics and business flow data within the industries belonging to the supply chain is essential. The company utilizes the hub functions of this offering, which collects, converts, standardizes, and accumulates various forms of logistics data, to link logistics data held by shippers and logistics operators. Furthermore, the data formats, including item specifications and digit counts that each company has operated independently, will be transformed and standardized to align with the 'Logistics Information Standard Guidelines,' and accumulated in the logistics database. Additionally, the accumulated data will be evaluated and analyzed using KPI evaluation and analysis functions, and simulations of effect calculations for joint delivery will be conducted based on analyses by logistics-expert consultants. The results of the proof-of-concept experiment are introduced in the press release issued today by the 'Chemicals Working Group.'
