NTT Data Corporation

NTT Data Corporation (hereinafter referred to as NTT Data) has signed a partnership agreement with Kinaxis Japan Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Kinaxis Japan) to enhance corporate supply chain management (hereinafter referred to as SCM), and will start supporting SCM enhancement services using Kinaxis Maestro from December.
In recent years, as uncertainties such as demand and supply fluctuations in the supply chain have increased, many companies are being asked for SCM that combines resilience and sustainability to cope with these risks. In this context, NTT Data will achieve a robust supply chain for enterprises by combining the services and solutions in the supply chain area that have been previously provided with the high-speed simulation capability of Kinaxis Maestro, which supports dynamic decision-making through the partnership with Kinaxis Japan.
In the future, NTT Data will further deepen its collaboration with Kinaxis Japan to enhance corporate SCM, aiming to expand the entire SCM Business to a scale of 20 billion yen in sales by 2027.

Overview

In recent years, the increase in natural disasters, geopolitical risks, and the influence of economic security policies have led to increased uncertainties such as demand and supply fluctuations in the supply chain. Under these circumstances, while SCM traditionally required efficiency of resources and cost-effectiveness, there is now a demand for resilience and sustainability focused on customer value, as well as a human-centered approach, shifting to the so-called "SCM 5.0" phase.
At NTT Data, we have supported the enhancement of corporate SCM through a digital supply chain platform called "iQuattro注1," which accelerates DX across corporate boundaries by centrally managing all data in the supply chain and supporting the construction of inter-company platforms that make up the supply chain. In the SCM 5.0 phase, it is required not only to connect supply chain data digitally but also to enhance customer value using the connected data, and to build a dynamic supply chain that can flexibly respond to environmental changes.
Against this backdrop, a partnership contract has been concluded with Kinaxis Japan, which specializes in high-speed simulations that support dynamic decision-making and immediate feedback.
This will enable the enhancement of SCM that flexibly responds to changes in the external environment based on end-to-end supply chain data.
