The board of directors and Company Executives of Kao are striving to enhance Shareholder value with a long-term perspective based on the Global Strategy. To improve our corporate value, we engage constructively with all shareholders and welcome new perspectives to address challenges.
Kao is continuously implementing the selection process while maintaining a reformist attitude to achieve the optimal board of directors. As announced in the release on December 12, this fiscal year, we spent more than six months selecting candidates, discussing them in the board of directors and the director and auditor selection committee. Accordingly, we announced the tentative candidates for directors and auditors on December 2, along with the announcement of the executive officer system.
The announced candidates are just that, and do not exclude proposals from other shareholders. For the director candidates proposed by some shareholders, we are currently conducting appropriate reviews in accordance with our selection process.
Kao will ensure fair information disclosure to all Shareholders as a fundamental principle.
