Bank of China International published a report indicating that the Shanghai Secondary School Mathematics School will begin accepting students for grades 10 and 11 starting January 2025, offering courses aimed at training for the Olympic Mathematics Competition. The Shanghai Secondary School Mathematics School is a training school dedicated to Olympic Mathematics, supported by various official Institutions such as the Shanghai Education Bureau and the Shanghai Mathematical Society.

The report indicated that after the implementation of the 'double reduction' policy in 2021, the Shanghai Secondary School Mathematics School closed tutoring for all grades. This marks the first time since the implementation of the double reduction policy that the school has reopened enrollment and tutoring services. Although currently only enrolling students for grades 10 and 11, the resumption of enrollment indicates that subject-based training and coaching for the Olympic Mathematics Competition are gaining official support, which is a very positive signal for the Education Industry. The bank reiterated its 'Buy' rating for the two leading Education companies, TAL Education (TAL.US) and New Oriental (EDU.US).
