It is reported that Honda and Nissan intend to strengthen cooperation due to Hon Hai Precision Industry contacting Nissan, hoping to acquire shares for a controlling stake. The report states that Honda has warned that if Nissan establishes a partnership with Hon Hai, the existing technical cooperative relationship between Honda and Nissan will be terminated, and Honda may even become a white knight if Hon Hai attempts a hostile takeover of Nissan.
