According to the Securities Times, since the national property delivery work meeting on May 17, relevant departments and localities have closely cooperated to accelerate the acquisition of existing Commodity housing for use as affordable housing, achieving phased results. It is understood that recently, projects for the acquisition of existing housing have been implemented in more than ten cities, having raised tens of thousands of affordable housing units. The national property delivery work meeting clarified that in cities with high inventory of Commodity housing, the government can purchase certain Commodity housing for affordable housing at reasonable prices based on demand.
Various local departments are actively promoting the implementation of policies, and relevant departments have established special teams for acquisition under the urban Real Estate financing coordination mechanism, encouraging local governments to intensify their efforts. Currently, over a hundred cities across the country have selected acquisition entities, and more than seventy cities have publicly issued announcements for the collection of housing sources.
