The SHIFT group will further accelerate AWS talent development and service expansion.

SHIFT Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Hiroshi Tange, Main Board: 3697, hereinafter SHIFT) has obtained certifications as an "AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner" and "AWS 200 APN Certification Distinction" under the partner program "AWS Partner Network" from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Additionally, SHIFT's "AWS Security Assessment" has been certified as an "AWS Foundational Technical Review (FTR) for Service Offerings," becoming an AWS-certified solution.

With the acquisition of these three corporate certifications, along with the "AWS Public Sector Partner Program" certification obtained in February 2024, the total number of AWS certifications for the company has reached four, marking a significant leap as a domestic AWS partner company.

SHIFT will continue to develop AWS talent across the entire company and group and expand AWS-related services, contributing to solving challenges for customers in a wide range of industries by further producing AWS-awarded engineers and improving the quality and quantity of certified services.

SHIFT has been working on providing AWS-related services mainly focused on the public sector in response to customer needs, while also developing AWS personnel to support these services. On the other hand, in order to address diversifying needs and the complex DX projects, building a company-wide system that can flexibly contribute to solving the challenges of a wider range of industries and sectors has become urgent.

Against this background, the AWS CCoE team, a cross-company AWS specialized team, was established in April 2024. The AWS CCoE team is comprised mainly of AWS specialists who hold all AWS certification qualifications and have been certified as 2024 Japan AWS All Certifications Engineers. In about six months since the team's formation, we have expanded services and branding while steadily increasing support achievements for AWS-related projects, also strengthening the internal education system, leading to the emergence of 20 new AWS certified members within the company and a significant increase in the number of certification acquisitions, culminating in the attainment of each of the certifications this time.

AWS Partner Journey, Challenge to Becoming the Best AWS Vendor in Japan (Aspiration Chapter)

The AWS Advanced Tier Service Partner certification is granted to AWS partner companies with a strong team of trained and certified technicians, known for their achievements in customer experience as well. SHIFT obtained this certification in November 2024.

AWS APN Certification Distinction is a system that recognizes the number of valid AWS certification qualifications held by AWS partner companies. SHIFT reached a total of over 200 valid AWS certification qualifications within the company in November 2024, thereby obtaining the AWS 200 APN Certification Distinction.

In the SHIFT Group, System Eye Inc has obtained the AWS 100 APN Certification Distinction, and ALH Corporation has received the AWS 1000 APN Certification Distinction. The total number of AWS certifications obtained by the group exceeds 1300, thus establishing a group system capable of supporting large-scale and high-difficulty AWS projects.

The AWS Foundational Technical Review (FTR) for Service Offerings is a partner program where AWS verifies the service offerings provided by AWS partner companies according to predefined requirements such as project requirements definition, Security, and operational processes.

The AWS Security Assessment provided by SHIFT was evaluated for high quality in 'operational efficiency', 'Security', and 'reliability', obtaining this certification in December 2024, thus becoming an AWS certified solution.

■ About the "AWS Security Assessment" that obtained AWS FTR certification
The AWS Security Assessment provided by SHIFT visualizes the security status of the AWS environment and suggests improvements through AWS security experts.

By conducting an investigation based on the AWS Security Maturity Model, it is possible to comprehensively diagnose AWS-specific security challenges in settings, governance, operational flows, and more. Furthermore, improvement proposals and implementations taking into consideration corporate governance and cost-effectiveness are supported, allowing effective security measures to be realized even within limited budgets and systems.

A seminar will be held where a specialist, who holds all AWS certifications and was selected as one of the 2024 Japan AWS All Certifications Engineers, will explain the service overview of "AWS Security Assessment" and how to visualize and understand the current state of security measures using the AWS Security Maturity Model.
