On December 17, the Data Protection Commission of Ireland announced the investigation results and final decision regarding Meta Ireland. The institution stated that Meta's previous data breach incident affected approximately 29 million Facebook Accounts globally, including about 3 million Accounts located in the EU/European Economic Area, with the leaked information including users' names, emails, and phone numbers. Consequently, the Data Protection Commission of Ireland decided to impose an administrative fine totaling 0.251 billion euros on Meta.
