In recent weeks, Trump has met with several important Technology leaders, including Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook, and TikTok CEO Zhou Shouzi.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is expected to visit this week as well.
As Trump's inauguration day approaches, business leaders are working to win his favor. Meta, OpenAI CEO Altman, and Amazon recently announced donations of 1 million dollars to Trump's inauguration Fund. Altman also emphasized that he is donating to Trump in a personal capacity, which has sparked public discussion.
Trump has threatened to strike against large Technology platforms. Earlier this month, he nominated Gael Slater to head the Justice Department's Antitrust Division, pledging to continue pushing for antitrust enforcement in the future.
"For years, large Technology companies have run rampant, suppressing competition in our most innovative industries and taking away the rights of many Americans and small to medium-sized Technology companies. I am proud of the actions taken to combat these abuses during my first term, and the Antitrust team in the Justice Department led by Gael will continue this work," Trump wrote in a statement.
In addition, Trump vowed to impose tariffs on all imported Commodities, which has caused great concern among American Technology Hardware manufacturers that rely on foreign supply chains.
