Intel's Chief Financial Officer, Dave Zinsner, stated that the formal separation of the company's manufacturing and product development divisions is an unresolved issue that will be decided by the next CEO of the chipmaker.
Earlier, after Pat Gelsinger was removed as CEO, Zinsner served as the interim co-CEO. Zinsner mentioned that the two divisions are already operationally separate, with different oversight and accounts. He believes it will take time to restore Intel's competitiveness and financial health.
