Ciena Posts Strong Sales, Joins Gambling.com, Warner Bros. Discovery And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Thursday

U.S. stocks were lower, with the Nasdaq Composite falling around 0.2% on Thursday.

Shares of Ciena Corporation (NYSE:CIEN) rose sharply during Thursday's session after the company reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter sales results.

Ciena reported a fiscal fourth-quarter 2024 revenue decline of 0.5% year-on-year to $1.124 billion, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $1.104 billion.

Ciena shares jumped 14.8% to $84.11 on Thursday.

  • Akso Health Group (NASDAQ:AHG) surged 21.4% to $1.0461.
  • 3D Systems Corporation (NYSE:DDD) gained 19.5% to $4.0288.
  • Bitdeer Technologies Group (NASDAQ:BTDR) rose 19.1% to $23.73.
  • Gambling.com Group Limited (NASDAQ:GAMB) gained 17.3% to $15.56 after the company announced it entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Odds Holdings.
  • Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc. (NASDAQ:WBD) jumped 15.5% to $12.51 after the company announced it authorized a new corporate structure. Also, Guggenheim maintained a Buy rating on the stock and raised its price target from $11 to $12.5.
  • Radiopharm Theranostics Limited (NASDAQ:RADX) gained 15.2% to $6.60.
  • Hut 8 Corp. (NASDAQ:HUT) gained 11.4% to $29.74 after Jones Trading initiated coverage on the stock with a Buy rating and announced a price target of $36. Also, Cantor Fitzgerald reiterated an Overweight rating.
  • Riot Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:RIOT) rose 10.2% to $12.97 following a report from The Wall Street Journal indicating activist investor Starboard Value has taken a stake in the company.
  • Bloom Energy Corporation (NYSE:BE) gained 6.7% to $25.19 after Baird raised its price target on the stock from $15 to $32.
