GDB Holdings Berhad announced that the group through its wholly-owned subsidiary Grand Dynamic Builders Sdn Bhd, has secured an RM298 million design-and-build contract to construct a logistics warehouse in Klang, Selangor from Sime Darby Logos 1 (Industrial Asset III) Sdn Bhd (SDPLOG), marking its third major project win of the year.
The new project, Metrohub 4, represents the second logistics warehouse GDB has secured from SDPLOG, following the successful completion of Metrohub 1 in Bandar Bukit Raja 2 Industrial Park in August 2024, which was delivered 31 days ahead of schedule.
The 20-month contract is slated to commence on 23 December 2024 and is scheduled to be completed by 22 August 2026. The latest win brings GDB's outstanding order book to RM1.4 billion, providing a strong pipeline until December 2026. The project is also GDB's second logistics warehouse project secured this year. GDB's scope as the main contractor encompasses the design, construction, testing, and commissioning of a proposed 2-storey warehouse (2 blocks with a mezzanine level on each floor), a single-storey amenity building, and supporting buildings, located at Kawasan Perindustrian Bandar Bukit Raja 2 in Klang.
The warehouse will boast a total built-up area of approximately 153,120 square meters, and will feature loading bays with dock levellers and roller shutters. The amenity building will include a staff cafeteria and office space.
