In the ADR market, Japanese stocks of ADR (American Depositary Receipts) rose in comparison with the Tokyo Stock Exchange (152.41 yen equivalent to 1 dollar), Advantest <6857>, DISCO <6146>, Tokyo Elec <8035>, SoftBank G <9984>, Toyota Industries <6201>, Tokio Marine HD <8766>, Hitachi Seisakusho <6501>, etc. rose, and there was a general buying advantage. The Chicago Nikkei 225 futures settlement value is 40,065 yen, 655 yen higher than the Osaka daytime ratio.
The US stock market is mixed. The Dow average closed at 44,148.56 dollars, down 99.27 dollars, and the Nasdaq closed at 20,034.90, which was 347.65 points higher. The November Consumer Price Index (CPI) remained within expectations and rose after being close to purchases expecting additional interest rate cuts at the December Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC). The Dow was pushed by profit-taking sales and turned downward. The NASDAQ was led by purchases in response to expectations of interest rate cuts and high-tech purchases such as Alphabet, which expanded the range of increases at the end of the game and hit a record high. It ended in a mixed situation.
The dollar and yen rose to 152 yen 82 yen in the New York foreign exchange market on the 11th, then fell to 151 yen 93 yen, but the decline stopped, returning to 152 yen 47 yen and closed. Growth expanded in the US November Consumer Price Index (CPI), and since it became new evidence of progress and stagnation in slowing inflation, dollar purchases intensified due to rising long-term interest rates. At the same time, in response to results consistent with expectations, additional interest rate cut observations at the December Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) were viewed as almost certain, and they turned to dollar sales. However, interest rates rose again due to the view that it is not easy to progress in slowing inflation and good growth forecasts, and observations of a slowdown in the pace of interest rate cuts next year persisted, and the dollar stopped falling. The euro dollar rose to 1.0539 dollars, then fell to 1.0480 dollars, and closed at 1.0496 dollars.
NY crude oil futures for the 1-month period are slightly higher (NYMEX crude oil 1-month closing price: 70.29 ↑ 1.70).
