Aurelius Surges 26 Sen, IHH Down 28 Sen

Main market's industrial listing Aurelius Technologies Bhd which debuted on Dec 16 managed to climb 26 sen to occupy the fourth spot on the gainers' list with a recorded volume of 830,400 shares/units, closing at RM3.31 after surging 8.52%.

Foodstuff supplier Nestle (Malaysia) Bhd added RM1.98, the biggest intraday gain, to close at RM98.78 on a turnover of 52,100 shares/units, while beer supplier Heineken Malaysia Bhd added 28 sen to settle at RM23.98.

Long-standing semiconductor manufacturer Malaysian Pacific Industries Bhd increased 34 sen to close at RM25.70.

Main board's construction listing Lebtech Bhd added 17 sen, closing at RM0.75.    

Plantation stocks dominate the decliners' list. United Plantations was the top decliner, shedding 48 sen to close at RM31.12 on a volume of 292,700 shares/units, whereas Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd slipped 28 sen to settle at RM21.32.

IHH Healthcare Bhd also gave up 28 sen to close at RM7.16 on a turnover of 12,302,500 shares/units, and Main board's industrial listing Sunway Bhd also lost 28 sen to close at RM4.51 on a volume of 25,589,300 shares/units.

Hong Leong Bank Bhd today occupied the fifth spot of the decliners list, losing 24 sen to end the day at RM20.50.

On the broader market, decliners outnumbered gainers by 652 to 419, while 489 counters were unchanged, 917 untraded.

Exchange-wide turnover decreased to 2.59 billion (2,587,094,300) shares/units valued at RM2.46 billion (RM2,461,267,821) from  nearly 2.74 billion (2,738,812,200) shares/units valued at over RM2.64 billion (RM2,638,652,685) recorded on Dec 10.
