United Natural Foods Posts Upbeat Results, Joins Alphabet, Ollie's Bargain, MoneyLion And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Tuesday

U.S. stocks were mixed, with the Nasdaq Composite gaining around 100 points on Tuesday.

Shares of United Natural Foods, Inc. (NYSE:UNFI) rose sharply during Tuesday's session following better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and raised its FY25 guidance.

United Natural Foods posted adjusted earnings of 16 cents per share, compared to market estimates for a loss of 1 cent per share. The company's quarterly sales came in at $7.87 billion versus expectations of $7.61 billion.

United Natural Foods shares surged 29% to $31.82 on Tuesday.

  • Solaris Energy Infrastructure, Inc. (NYSE:SEI) gained 15.1% to $29.65. Solaris Energy Infrastructure priced its public offering of 6.5 million Class A shares at $24.75 each for net proceeds of $156 million.
  • Ollie's Bargain Outlet Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:OLLI) jumped 14.7% to $111.48 after the company reported better-than-expected third-quarter financial results.
  • MoneyLion Inc. (NYSE:ML) gained 14.7% to $88.30 after the company announced an agreement to be acquired for $82 per share in cash for a total value of approximately $1 billion.
  • Alaska Air Group, Inc. (NYSE:ALK) rose 13.5% to $61.54 r after the company unveiled "Alaska Accelerate", a strategy to boost profitability and its global footprint. Additionally, the company issued a strong FY25 outlook and plans for nonstop routes to Tokyo and Seoul from Seattle.
  • Nebius Group N.V. (NASDAQ:NBIS) gained 6.2% to $33.94.
  • Super Group (SGHC) Limited (NYSE:SGHC) rose 5.9% to $7.01. The company issued business update as 2024 closes.
  • MakeMyTrip Limited (NASDAQ:MMYT) climbed 5.5% to $121.32 after the company inked a Business Transfer Agreement to acquire the Happay Expense Management Platform from CRED for an undisclosed amount.
  • Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) gained 4.6% to $183.45.
