Canadian Solar announced that its subsidiary Recurrent Energy has signed a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with a large Technology company in the USA.
According to Zhito Finance APP, on December 10, Canadian Solar (CSIQ.US) announced that its subsidiary, solar and energy storage power station developer Recurrent Energy, has signed a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with a large Technology company in the USA. According to the agreement, the green clean energy required by the partner will be provided by the Photovoltaic Power Station project developed by Recurrent Energy in Valladolid, Castile and León, northwest Spain. The total installed capacity of the project is 300 megawatts, and it is expected to be put into commercial operation in 2026. Recurrent Energy, as the project owner, will be responsible for Operation after the project is completed.
The Toredsillas project is expected to promote the development of Renewable Energy in Spain and help the country achieve its emission reduction goals. The project is expected to generate approximately 620 gigawatt-hours of clean electricity annually, enough to power over 188,000 local households, equating to a reduction of about 161,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
Recurrent Energy will further develop and construct Photovoltaic and energy storage power station projects globally. Recurrent Energy has over 2 gigawatts of Photovoltaic power station project reserves and 60 megawatt-hours of energy storage project reserves in Spain.
