Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa, Tokyo, President: Shinji Shimomura, hereinafter referred to as "the company") has newly established Sumitomo Heavy Industries (India) Private Limited (99% investment by Sumitomo Heavy Industries, 1% investment by Sumitomo Heavy Industries (Europe) B.V., abbreviated as SHI(IN), hereinafter referred to as "the new company") as a headquarters coordinating base in the Republic of India.
■Purpose of the India Headquarters Coordinating Base
The Indian market has deep relationships with major businesses, technologies, products, and markets for our group. Main business divisions that have already entered the market include Sumi-Cyclo Drive India Private Limited (Pune) in the mechatronics segment, which engages in the sales, assembly, and service of reducers. In the industrial machinery segment, SHI Plastics Machinery (India) Private Ltd. (Gurgaon), which handles plastics dkm injection machines, carries out sales and service activities.
As a group, we will systematically engage in organizational activities such as supporting new business entries, providing shared services, and supporting business management and operation including sales and service bases, accounting and materials, and strengthening business infrastructure and governance. We will also play a role in disseminating India's initiatives regarding environmental measures, regulations, and sustainability within the group.
Through the activities mentioned above, as a machinery manufacturer providing high-quality commodities etf and services, we aim to contribute to future market expansion and society.
