The 2024 photovoltaic industry annual conference was held in Sichuan yesterday (4th). Gu Yu, Deputy Director of the Trade Remedy Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, stated that the photovoltaic industry should adhere to technological innovation, promote industrial upgrading, build core competitive advantages in the international market; strengthen international cooperation, achieve win-win development, and write the world story of global cooperation; unite industry forces, build a good ecology, promote the healthy development of the photovoltaic industry; the Ministry of Commerce will, as always, maintain a good business environment and escort the development of the photovoltaic industry.
Wang Shijiang, Deputy Director of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, believes that the future of the photovoltaic industry is unquestionable, and believes that spring is not far away. He suggests that the industry should enhance confidence, strengthen self-discipline, avoid irrational and vicious competition; practice internal skills, and focus on technological innovation.
In addition, Zhou Guanxun, Research Assistant of the solar energy department at Infolink Consulting, revealed that large government tenders will drive the development of the photovoltaic market in the Middle East and Africa. With the gradual improvement of green energy trading, Southeast Asia's photovoltaic sector will usher in new opportunities.
Jin Feng, Chief Analyst of S&P Global Clean Energy Technology, stated that South Asia's annual new photovoltaic installations are expected to account for about 6% of the global total. In addition, China's exports of photovoltaic components to South Asia are expected to increase by 50% annually.
