According to informed sources, the gunman was a white male, wearing a black hoodie, black pants, black sneakers with white trim, and carrying a gray backpack. It is reported that the gunman used a handgun with a silencer.
A spokesperson for the New York Police Department confirmed that at 6:46 a.m. on Wednesday, a 50-year-old man was shot in front of the Hilton hotel at 1335 Avenue of the Americas in midtown Manhattan. When the police arrived at the scene, the victim had lost consciousness, was shot in the chest, was urgently taken to West Shanxi Hospital for rescue, but ultimately did not survive. Currently, no suspects have been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
A hot dog vendor near the Hilton hotel at the time mentioned that although he did not hear gunshots, he noticed a sudden influx of police.
