Tianfeng International Securities analyst Guo Mingji stated that Apple (AAPL.US) is expected to further delay the mass production time of the screen HomePod to the third quarter of next year, mainly due to software development issues. It is estimated that the shipment volume in the second half of next year will be about 0.5 million units. If the market response is positive, the annual shipment volume is expected to exceed one million units, with BYD Electronics (00285.HK) and Tianma Microelectronics as the main suppliers.
HomePod is expected to use the A18 processor, with a 6 to 7 inch screen, and support Apple Intelligence. BYD Electronics will be the exclusive assembly manufacturer, meaning that after the iPad, it has once again secured a new assembly order from Apple.
Tianma Microelectronics will be the exclusive panel supplier for HomePod. Guo Mingji stated that after the company becomes Apple's new panel supplier, the future growth potential is huge. Due to the expected recovery of the Chinese mobile phone market next year, it is estimated to increase by about 2% to 4% annually. Also, with the company's continuous increase in the market share of OLED in mobile phones, it is believed to be beneficial for Tianma Microelectronics' operating prospects next year.
