The United Kingdom Competition and Markets Authority stated on Tuesday that it is assessing whether the asset management company Blackrock (BLK.US) acquiring the British data company Preqin for 2.55 billion British pounds (3.23 billion US dollars) will raise concerns about local market competition.
The authorities have not yet initiated a formal investigation into the above transaction, but have invited all parties to submit their views on the impact the transaction may have on competition in the United Kingdom.
