① Ma Ji has been removed from the senior management page of the Xiaomi Group website; ② The Xiaomi Group has seen three senior management changes this year.

According to a report from the Star Daily on December 3 (Reporter Tang Zhixiao), it is reported that Ma Ji, vice president of the Xiaomi Group, has left the company.

A reporter from the Star Daily found on the Xiaomi Group official website that as of September 22 of this year, Ma Ji was still listed in the management team of the Xiaomi Group. Today, Ma Ji has been removed from the management team list.

In response, the reporter sought verification from Xiaomi, but there was no response from the other party before the publication of this report.

Currently, Ma Ji's Weibo authentication still states "Vice President of Xiaomi Group, General Manager of New Retail Division in China," but Weibo updates ceased on October 25, with content related to the pre-launch event for the Xiaomi 15 series and Xiaomi Surge OS2.

Ma Ji obtained a master's degree in computer science and engineering from Zhejiang University in 2002. Before joining the Xiaomi Group, Ma Ji worked at Qihoo 360, serving as the product manager for Mobile Guardian and Mobile Assistant.

Joining the Xiaomi Group in 2013, Ma Ji was responsible for the MIUI Security Center, MIUI products, and international internet business, and from December 2020, he served as the general manager of the internet business division of the Xiaomi Group.

On December 30, 2022, Ma Ji was promoted to vice president of the Xiaomi Group, concurrently serving as the general manager of the group's internet business division. Other executives promoted alongside Ma Ji included Wang Xiaoyan and Qu Heng, who were promoted to vice president of the Xiaomi Group, and Lu Weibing, who was promoted to president of the Xiaomi Group.

In August 2023, it was reported that Ma Ji underwent a position adjustment, no longer responsible for the internet plus-related business department, and was transferred to the China region, serving as the general manager of the new retail department for China, reporting to Wang Xiaoyan, vice president of Xiaomi Group and president of the China region.

According to the earnings conference previously held by Xiaomi Group for the 2024 interim results, over the past four to five years, Xiaomi’s new retail global strategy has driven its offline market share from 4.9% in 2019 to approximately 10.4% by mid-2024. This year, Xiaomi began focusing on expanding and upgrading its ecosystem, introducing Xiaomi autos and realizing comprehensive store upgrades.

The new strategy includes relocating to prime gold locations, expanding store areas, controlling costs, and reshaping the in-store ecological experience, aiming to create an all-encompassing "people, cars, home" ecosystem to accelerate new retail deployment.

At the Q3 2024 earnings conference, Xiaomi Group partner and president Lu Weibing told reporters from the Star Daily that the number of Xiaomi offline retail stores has approached 14,000, with a target of reaching 15,000 by the end of the year, and an internal goal set for next year at 0.02 million stores. "By the end of this year, Xiaomi Home might open over 100 large stores of 500 square meters. Some other stores have undergone significant adjustments, with 100 square meter stores upgrading to 200 square meters."

As of November 2024, Xiaomi autos stores have covered 40 cities nationwide, with plans to add 50 more stores by the end of the year, expecting to increase coverage to 19 cities, with the total number of stores rising to 200.

Xiaomi autos' official weibo stated that in November 2024, the delivery volume of the Xiaomi SU7 continued to exceed 20,000 units, delivering more than 0.02 million units for two consecutive months, with an annual delivery target sprinting towards 0.13 million units.

Since entering 2024, including the resignation of Ma Ji, Xiaomi Group's senior management has undergone three changes, with the first two being the role swap between Lu Weibing and Zeng Xuezhong, and Wang Teng taking over as the new general manager of the Redmi brand.
