Takuma <6013> announced on the 29th that its subsidiary, Japan Thermo Energy, delivered the first unit of the world's first hydrogen-fired vacuum hot water generator "Zero Emission Bacotin Heater" to Toyota Motor Hokkaido, a subsidiary of Toyota Motor <7203>.
The Zero Emission Bacotin Heater (GTL-300ZE type) is a hydrogen-fueled vacuum hot water generator launched by Japan Thermo Energy in May 2023. It utilizes hydrogen not only as the main fuel but also as the fuel for the pilot burner ignition source, completely eliminating the use of fossil fuels, achieving zero emissions without CO2 emissions during combustion.
Toyota Motor Hokkaido is participating in the "Modeling and Demonstration Project for Cost Reduction of Hydrogen Supply Utilizing Existing Infrastructure" being conducted in Tomakomai City, as part of Sparks Group <8739>'s subsidiary Sparks Green Energy & Technology. As part of that project, the Zero Emission Bacotin Heater has been adopted as the heat source device at the employee welfare facility and is scheduled to start operation in January 2025.
Japan Thermo Energy will continue to focus on deploying heat source devices utilizing renewable energy such as hydrogen and biomass to meet the needs of decarbonized products and contribute to solving societal issues.
