SG Holdings Group's Sagawa Global Logistics, which operates in the logistics business, cooperated with the Japan Logistics System Association (JILS) in hosting the "Logistics and Supply Chain Management Research Project" and supported the implementation of a logistics site tour and a "Logistics and SCM Research Presentation Conference" by university students on November 30 (Saturday).
This project, promoted by JILS, aims to convey the importance of logistics in society and the industry, as well as the appeal of working in this field, thereby raising awareness of logistics and expanding the pool of logistics professionals. As a company involved in logistics, we support this project by facilitating the logistics site tour at the SG Holdings Group's next-generation large-scale logistics facility "X Frontier" and hosting the "Logistics and SCM Research Presentation Conference," which is the final showcase of the project's achievements.
Overview of the exhibition
- Date: November 30 (Saturday)
- Participating universities: Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, Tokyo City University, Tokyo University of Science, Hosei University, and Ryutsu Keizai University.

During the logistics site visit, participants observed the usage of robots at our EC-exclusive platform center "EC Logi Tokyo," operated within the "X Frontier." After the visit, voices such as "There are more commodities handled than I imagined," "I was surprised that people and robots are working together," and "They are doing delicate work" were heard, indicating a deeper understanding of the logistics industry. In the subsequent research presentation, university students presented their initiatives and solutions regarding challenges in logistics and SCM.
Sagawa Global Logistics will continue to actively engage in activities that promote understanding of the logistics industry to contribute to the development of logistics human resources.
