The Bank of America stock strategy team released a report stating that the rise of the usa stock market is far from over, with a target of 6,666 points for the s&p 500 index by the end of next year.
Some optimistic views are based on expectations of strong economic growth, with certain stocks benefiting more than others. The team forecasts a 2.4% economic growth in the usa next year, higher than the market prediction of 2%. The bank prefers economically sensitive stocks and recommends increasing shareholding in financial, non-essential consumer, metal, real estate, and utilities industry sectors, believing that individual stock opportunities exceed those of the indices, particularly favoring large-cap value stocks that are expected to provide healthy cash returns and are correlated with the usa economy.
The team also anticipates that the stock market rise will extend from the 'Fabulous Seven' to the remaining 493 components of the s&p 500 index.
