Nisshin Seifun Group's subsidiary, Nisshin Seifun Welfena Co., Ltd. (President: Yasuhiko Iwahashi), is expected to achieve 100% effective renewable energy conversion of electricity by introducing non-fossil certificates at six overseas bases and carbon neutralization of Ma-Ma Macaroni Co., Ltd. Kobe factory, a subsidiary. The two initiatives are expected to enable Nisshin Seifun Welfena to achieve its 2030 goal (50% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to 2013) under the Nisshin Seifun Group's mid- to long-term environmental goals by the end of this fiscal year. [Figure 1] With regard to the first initiative, the Company has concluded a contract with Mitsiam International Ltd. (location: Bangkok, President: Keishi Kaito), a subsidiary of Thai Mitsui & Co., Ltd., to purchase non-fossil certificates at six overseas bases. Under this contract, we expect to achieve a reduction of about 11,000 tons of CO2 per year (equivalent to 35% of our emissions in 2013) and the conversion of all electricity at all overseas production bases into 100% effective renewable energy by the end of this fiscal year. With regard to the second initiative, at the Ma-Ma Macaroni Co., Ltd. Kobe factory, our subsidiary, we began operating biomass power generation in which food waste generated at the factory is circulated as a resource from July of this year to achieve circular economy. We also started to operate a framework that can cover all the factory's used electricity with renewable energy-derived electricity by combining the remaining non-fossil certificates. In addition, at the factory, we expect to utilize J-credits in addition to the use of low CO2 emission steam to achieve carbon neutrality of the entire factory by the end of this fiscal year. [Figure 2] The amount of CO2 emissions that can be reduced is about 5,200 tons per year (equivalent to 16% of our emissions in 2013). From now on, we will continue to contribute to achieving the Nisshin Seifun Group's 2030 target (50% reduction in CO2 emissions at our own bases compared to 2013) by continuing energy-saving activities that contribute to reducing electricity consumption and activities that reduce CO2 emissions other than electricity. We will also continue to strengthen our efforts to achieve the Nisshin Seifun Group's 2050 target (virtually zero CO2 emissions at our own bases).

Nisshin Seifun Group's Nisshin Seifun Welna Co., Ltd. (President: Yasuhiko Iwahashi) will revise the prices of some household products.
With the revision of the government selling price of imported wheat starting from October 1 of this year, along with the price revision of commercial wheat flour and some fluctuation in raw material costs, there has been a continuous increase in costs such as packaging material costs, logistics costs, and labor costs. Additionally, the depreciation of the yen is also ongoing. In response to these cost increases, the company has been working on various cost reduction measures and improving logistics efficiency through a review of product sizes. However, it has become difficult to absorb these through corporate efforts alone, and therefore, a price increase will be implemented for some products. Furthermore, for wheat flour products (strong flour) and household pasta products, a price reduction will be implemented for some items. The details of each price revision are as follows.
