The Nikkei average is up 262 yen (as of 1:50 PM). Regarding the contribution to the Nikkei average, TDK <6762>, Tokyo Electron <8035>, and Advantest <6857> have the highest positive contributions, while Fast Retailing <9983>, shiseido company, limited sponsored adr <4911>, and SoftBank Group <9984> have the highest negative contributions. In sectors, insurance, banking, nonferrous metals, securities futures, and transportation equipment are among the top gainers, while retail trade, iron & steel, land transportation, chemicals, and warehouse and transport-related stocks are among the top losers.

The Nikkei average is trading in a high range. It seems that the bounce around 38,000 yen, which is considered the lower resistance line in the morning session, is providing a sense of security.
