President-elect Trump of the usa stated on Sunday that he will appoint Lebanese-American businessman Masad Boulos as his senior advisor for Arab and Middle Eastern affairs.

Masad is the father of Trump's son-in-law. This means that another person with a family relationship has been added to Trump's foreign policy team.

"Masad is a successful lawyer and a respected leader in the business community, having extensive experience on the international stage," Trump wrote on his self-created social platform Truth Social.

Trump also wrote that for a long time, Masad has been a supporter of the Republican Party and conservative values, playing an important role in building alliances with the Arab-American community. At the same time, he is also a strong supporter of peace in the Middle East and will be a firm advocate for the usa and its interests.

In 2022, Trump's daughter Tiffany Trump married Masad Boulos's son Michael Boulos. They held a grand wedding at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

When Trump was campaigning in Michigan for the election, Masad Boulos played a key role, having been a supporter for Trump among Lebanese-American and Arab-American voters. Ultimately, Trump again won that battleground state.

Masad has strong roots in both the usa and Lebanon. His father and grandfather were figures in Lebanese politics, and his father-in-law is a major funder of the Free Patriotic Movement, a Christian political party allied with Hezbollah.

At the same time, Masad is also a billionaire leading the family business, the auto company SCOA Nigeria.

Since the outbreak of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on October 7 last year, the Middle East has been engulfed in war. Although a ceasefire agreement was reached between Israel and Hezbollah last week, the agreement is exceptionally fragile, and its duration remains unknown. Additionally, Syrian rebels are attacking the Assad regime. Bloros may play a key role in Trump's efforts to promote peace in the Middle East.

Notably, this is the second time in recent days that Trump has chosen his in-law to join his government. Just last Saturday, Trump stated that he had selected his son-in-law Jared Kushner's father, real estate mogul Charles Kushner, to serve as the ambassador to France.
