Cathay Pac Air (00293.HK) announced that its "Cathay Cargo Terminal" has become the first aviation cargo terminal in Hong Kong to seamlessly integrate ai technology with the existing closed-circuit television system to further enhance the security and surveillance effectiveness of its cargo terminal.

According to reports, the Cathay Cargo Terminal has partnered with workplace safety solution provider "Intenseye" to use computer vision technology and ai algorithms to analyze, detect, and identify safety and security-related risks in real-time within the cargo area, reducing potential accidents and enhancing overall workplace safety performance.

Additionally, the Cathay Cargo Terminal has begun applying ai technology on all cargo screening machines to improve its lithium battery screening efficiency, with plans to introduce ai technology into its thermal imaging monitoring projects by 2025. (js/k)
