Maxell <6810> announced that it has developed a solid state battery module for industrial equipment backup powered by the ceramic package type solid state battery 'PSB401010H', which has been in mass production since 2023.
This time, a module powered by up to 5 ceramic package type solid state batteries 'PSB401010H', which are secondary batteries, has been developed. It is equipped with a charging circuit and a step-up circuit, leveraging the safety, long life of solid state batteries, and heat resistance of ceramic package type solid state batteries. It is possible to replace primary batteries and deploy them in new industrial equipment.
By incorporating a solid state battery module with a lifespan of over 10 years, end users of industrial equipment such as industrial robots and PLCs can reduce the hassle and productivity loss caused by battery replacement.
The company will continue to utilize analog core technology to develop high-performance and highly reliable solid state batteries and modules in the areas of long life, high heat resistance, high output, and large capacity, which can be used in applications that existing batteries cannot, to address many social issues.
